CELEBRATING THE BEST OF WEST AFRICAN CUISINE AND CULTURE THROUGH A SHARED LOVE JOLLOF RICE.
In the heart of Addis Abeba, the Jollof Summit unites Ghana,Nigeria , Senegal,Liberia, and SierraLeone in a vabrant celebration of one of West Africa's most beloved dishes. More than just a food festival, it's a stage for cultural exchange, creativity, and community connection-Where friendly competition meets shared heritage.
The design goal was to create a bold and distinctive visual identity that embodies the energy, pride and diversity of West Africa. Our creative team develope a unique typeface logo inspired by African handwritten scripts, cultural patterns, and festive motifs, ensuring the brand is instantly recognizable across signage, merchandise, digital platforms, and vent spaces.

UNITING DIVERSE CULTURES UNDER ONE DISTINCTIVE VISUAL IDENTITY.
The Jollof Summit brought together multiple West African nations, each with its own traditions, visual styles, and interpretations of Jollof Rice. The challenge was to create a brand identity that equally represented Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, while still being simple, modern, and memorable.
The design needed to celebrate the richness of West African heritage without favoring any single country, ensuring inclusivity and unity. It also had to work across a wide range of applications, from street banners and stage backdrops to merchandise, packaging, and digital platforms, maintaining clarity and impact in every format.

SOLUTION
CREATING A BOLD AND UNIFYING VISUAL IDENTITY THAT CELEBRATES WEST AFRICAN'S SHARED HERITAGE.
We developed a distinctive typeface logo inspired by African handwritten scripts, geometric patterns, and symbolic motifs found in body art and home decor. This combination gave the brand a strong cultural foundation while keeping the design modern and versatile.
The visual system was applied consistently across event signage, stage designs, food packaging, promotional merchandise, and digital platforms. Vibrant colors and culturally resonant patterns were used to envoke warmth, festivity, and unity, ensuring the brand was instantly recognizable and emotionally engaging for both was instantly recognizable and emotionally engaging for both local and international audiences
